What is a LitRPG?

A LitRPG story is a novel or web serial where there are video game or tabletop RPG elements in the text.  This gives a very direct way of seeing how the characters grow stronger and how they gain new abilties. 

I'm someone who loves making up stories.  I am raising my daughter in a small Yorkshire market town and a couple of years ago we started discussing what kind of powers we would want in a system apocalypse.  From that tiny acorn eventually grew my love of typing away for hours on end, launching the strange ideas in my brain into the real world.

Weretiger

Weretiger is a side story set in the Carnival universe that gives some back story to important characters that will be introduced later in the main plot.

John was a pretty easy going kind of a guy.  Work from home desk job.  Single dad to a precocious but overall tolerable daughter.  Doing ok for himself in most ways by the standards of the old world.  Then the system arrived.Now he has to change.  He will need friends and allies to help keep himself and his daughter safe.  He will need to find ways to use his power of teleportation in combat.No more doom-prepping.  No more living as a shut-in.  It's time to go out and embrace his new power and the apocalypse that has been forced upon him.
